How can you filter the results displayed in the Alternate Takes list?

Right-click take with selector or grabber tool>Alternate Takes

Right-click take with selector or grabber tool>Matching Alternates>Alternate Takes Match Criteria

Filtering the Alternate Takes list relies on matching attributes between takes. In Pro Tools, you can narrow the display to only those takes that align with the current take by using the Matching Alternates option. Right‑click the take with the selector or grabber tool, choose Matching Alternates, and then select Alternate Takes Match Criteria. This applies a specific filter that shows only alternate takes that meet the chosen criteria relative to the current take, making it easier to find compatible options. Other approaches, like typing in a filter field or opening the Clip List, don’t apply the same attribute-based filtering to the Alternate Takes list.
